The KJCCC has announced that Seward County Lady Saints
freshman forward Mariah Lee has been named the Jayhawk Conference Player
of the Week for her performance in a pair of wins last week against
Pratt and Colby. Lee led Seward to a 2-0 week by averaging 17 points
and 6.5 rebounds per game and shooting a perfect 12 for 12 from the free
throw line. On Wednesday Lee scored 14 points, had 6 rebounds, and a
pair of blocks in a 64-46 win for the Lady Saints while Saturday against
Pratt she was at the forefront of Seward’s comeback win against Pratt
when she scored 20 points on 7 of 9 shooting and had 7 rebounds. The
Seward freshman leads the team at 11.3 points per game and is second in
rebounding with 5.9 per contest as well as field goal percentage,
