Liberal Police Conduct A Death Investigation

On Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at about 4:15 a.m., a 47 year old male called emergency responders to 115 West 9th Street regarding a male passed out in the front yard. The caller reported his friend was having an asthma attack.

Responding officers arrived to find a 40 year old male in medical distress. Officers immediately began life saving efforts by giving the man CPR until Liberal Fire Rescue and Seward County EMS arrived. The man was transported to Southwest Medical Center in serious condition. The man died despite vigorous life saving efforts.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 24th. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.
