Sale of 7th and Western Properties Finalized

On February 27, 2015, the sale of the former 7th & Western softball complex to Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market was finalized. Proceeds from this sale will assist in replacing the worn-out, nearly 50 year-old complex that contained only three softball fields.

Seizing the opportunity to improve the quality of life in Liberal, the City Commission approved the East 8^th Street Ball Field project to create four new softball fields, two new baseball fields and the renovation of Rosel Field for girls softball to benefit adults and children by giving them the opportunity to enjoy baseball and softball on new fields.
