The USD 480 Board of Education met Monday night until about 10 p.m. The board heard a presentation from AVID students at West Middle School. West AVID teacher Zeb Tiedeman and about six West AVID students explained what the program does for them and how it helps them to be more organized and prepared. The board also renewed their memorandum of understanding with the City of Liberal regarding the robotics program at the Mid America Air Museum.
At the end of the meeting, the Kansas Association of School Board’s Doug Moekel provided board training for the board. He discussed ways the 480 board can work cohesively and meet the district’s goals.
