On Wednesday, June 18th, 2014 at about 5:30 p.m., officers responded to Pancake Boulevard and Country Estates to a report of an injury accident. Responding officers found that a motorcycle had rear ended a pickup.

Investigating officers learned that a 57 year old male was eastbound on Pancake on a 2003 Yamaha motorcycle, attempted to come to a stop, but slid on the wet pavement and struck a 2008 Dodge pickup from behind. The pickup, driven by a 52 year old male, was stopped at the stop light.

The damage to both vehicles was minor, but the driver of the motorcycle was thrown over the handlebars and sustained non-life threatening injuries. He was transported to Southwest Medical Center by Seward County EMS. He was later flown to Wichita for further care.
