Severe Weather Possible For Today (Monday)

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to fire up late this afternoon and evening across the west and west-central parts of Kansas. A few storms could become severe late in the day. Storms are expected to be elevated in nature with the greatest threat being hail larger than quarters. The strongest cells could also produce locally damaging winds. Showers and storms are expected to continue into the overnight hours but the threat for severe weather will decrease.
