Rash Family Collection Coming To Baker Arts

The Baker Arts Center would like everyone to come into view the Rash Family Collection Exhibit.
This exhibit showcases the private collection of Native American artwork and artifacts of the Don Rash family.

The rich history of the Native American culture is well represented in the artwork which depicts historic events and everyday lifethrough paintings, drawings, and bronze sculptures.
The artifacts include Navaho rugs, baskets, cradle boards, moccasins, dresses, war shirt, head dress, jewelry, Kachinas, photographs, buffalo hide, and many other items.
Viewing this exhibit is a wonderfuleducational experience and will enhance the understanding and appreciation of the rich heritage that it represents.

There will be an Opening Reception August 24th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the center located at 624 N. Pershing in Liberal. The exhibit will be on display now through October 5, 2013.
The lower level gallery will feature select Native American Art and Artifact items from the Permanent Collection to compliment the current exhibit in the main galleries.

Hours of operation during this exhibit will be Tuesday through Friday 9-12 and 1-5, Saturday from 2-5; closed on Sunday and Monday. As always there is noadmission fee for viewing exhibits at the center.
