KSCB News - May 13, 2013 3:13 pm

Liberal High School Principal Keith Adams and USD 480 Deputy Superintendent Paul Larkin were at the Kansas State Capitol on Monday on behalf of the high school and school district to be honored for LHS’s recent recognition as the 7th best high school in the state and being ranked in the top 10% nationwide by the U.S. News and World Report.

State Senator Garrett Love and State Representative Reid Petty presented Liberal High School and Adams with certificates of achievement on behalf of the Kansas Legislature.

Love set up a short meeting for Adams and Larkin with Governor Sam Brownback where they were congratulated, and Petty honored them on the House floor by using a point of personal privilege.

Love and Petty said they would like to commend all of the students, staff, and administrators of USD 480 who made it possible for LHS to become an award winning school.

“We were thrilled to have Mr. Adams and Mr. Larkin with us in Topeka to recognize and show off Liberal High School for their great accomplishments.”
