JoAnne Mansell, Executive Director of The Coronado Museum, Dorothy’s House, and The Land Of Oz announced the winners of the autographed items donated to the museum for a fundraiser to help send the Dorothy’s to Washington DC. Donated was a Liberal Redskin customized guitar autographed by Liberal native and country music star Jerrod Niemann, a Jerrod Niemann autographed t-shirt, an autographed Jerrod Niemann CD, ad a couple of guitar picks, also signed by Niemann. For the past two and a half months the Dorothy’s have been collecting donations for a chance to win the prizes, with the drawing held on Pancake Day. Winning the guitar and a pick was Jack Taylor of Liberal who said he was "Absolutely thrilled" and said for him it was’nt about winning any of the prizes, but more of a way to help these young ambassadors from Liberal to get to the Nation’s Capitol. Mona Schwindt won the T-shirt and a pick, and Bob Blain walked away with the autographed CD. Money raised towards the trip was over $600.00
