Pancake Day Song Now Available

KSCB News - February 7, 2013 8:35 am

Folks who have attended the Pancake Day breakfast in recent years have enjoyed Steve Leete, son of Pancake Day founders R. J. and Virginia Leete, performing his original song about Pancake Day. That song is now available on CD. The single features a cover photo of Virginia Leete practicing for the race back in the 1950s—the famous photo that captured her fall in the snow.
Steve Leete is visiting Olney, England, for Pancake Day this year, so who knows, next year he may have a song about the Olney side of the race.
Autographed copies of the CD are $10 and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Pancake Day Hall of Fame. CDs and other merchandise may be purchased at the Hall of Fame, 318 N. Lincoln, and will be available for sale during Pancake Day events. For more information, call 620-624-6423.
