GOODWELL, Okla. (AP) – A Goodwell man had died after crashing
his van into the back of a tractor-trailer that had stopped for
road construction in Texas County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 46-year-old Rodney O’Hara of
Goodwell died at the scene of the crash about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday
northwest of Goodwell.
The patrol says the big rig had stopped for road construction
along Highway 64 when O’Hara apparently failed to notice and
slammed into the back of the trailer. He was pinned inside the
wreckage for 45 minutes.
The driver of the truck – 26-year-old Alex Chea of Hart, Texas –
wasn’t injured.
