Crack Sealing Project In Southwest Kansas

The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) expects a crack sealing project on U.S. 283 in Clark County to begin Wednesday, Dec. 19, weather permitting. The 12-mile project runs from the junction of U.S. 283 and U.S. 160 to the junction of U.S. 283 and U.S. 54.

During construction, traffic will be limited to one lane through the work zone, guided by a pilot car. Drivers can expect delays of 15 minutes or less. The KDOT urges drivers to be alert, pay attention to all work zone warning signs, slow down when approaching a work zone and be prepared to stop.

Missouri Pavement Maintenance of Independence, Mo., is the contractor on this $30,000 T-WORKS preservation project. KDOT expects work on this project to be completed in March, depending on weather.
