Ulysses Man Injured In Motorcycle Accident

A Ulysses man was injured in a motorcycle accident Monday night in Garden City.

According to Garden City police Sgt. Michael Reagle, Michael Davidson, 42, Ulysses, was westbound on Hackberry Street on a 2006 Honda VZX motorcycle, allegedly at a high rate of speed. Reagle said Davidson failed to stop at the stop sign at Fifth and Hackberry streets and then hit the dip at the intersection, causing him to be ejected from the motorcycle.

Davidson was transported to St. Catherine Hospital, where he was treated for various internal injuries and later flown to St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

Prior to being transported to Wichita, Davidson was cited on allegations of driving under the influence, no proof of insurance and reckless driving.

Davidson was in stable condition as of Tuesday afternoon.
