Turpin, Texhoma Bond Issues Pass

With 5 of 5 precincts reporting, Turpin voters approved the $400,000 school bond for new transportation equipment — 148 to 37, 80 percent approval with 60 percent required.

In Texhoma things were a little bit closer. Based on totals posted at the precinct in Texhoma, school bond passes — 241 for to 149 against, with 61.8 percent.There are 5 provisionals, if those 5 are counted as no, still passes by 61 percent. 60 percent needed for passage.The totals unofficial until certified by election board Friday.

In Cimarron County, Leon Apple easily won the runoff election for Cimarron County Republican Sheriff candidate over Kevin McIntire, 249 to 188.
