KSCB News - July 23, 2012 8:23 am

Former Oklahoma running back Clendon Thomas and former Oklahoma Panhandle State running back Jim Holder have been inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. Thomas and Holder were among about two dozen former players and coaches inducted into the hall Saturday in South Bend, Indiana. Thomas helped OU to back-to-back national titles in 1955 and 1956 and to three straight Big 7 Conference championships. He played 11 seasons in the NFL. Holder set the NAIA rushing record and was named All-American in 1963 at what was then Panhandle A&M. He joined the Army after graduating college and was killed in Viet Nam in 1966.
