Four people have been arrested in connection to multiple pharmacy burglaries in southwest Kansas and northwest Oklahoma.

The Hodgeman County Sheriff??s Office said the arrests stemmed from reports of suspicious activity near a Jetmore pharmacy early Tuesday morning. Two people were taken into custody after a car stop, another suspect was apprehended after running away from the scene.

The fourth suspect was arrested when he tried to contact the suspects after they were taken into custody.

Officials said the suspects are from the Dodge City area, and are in their mid-20s to early 30s.

Investigators believe the thieves are responsible for at least 19 pharmacy burglaries since January. Authorities believe the suspects stole painkillers, and then sold the drugs on the street.

Anyone with information on the pharmacy burglaries is asked to call Hodgeman County Sheriff Ron Ridley at 620-357-8391.
