An accident involving a Semi tuck loaded with pigs rolled over near Liberal Monday morning. The accident occurred at approximately 10:14am 1/4 mile north of Liberal on Highway 83 southbound. A 2008 Kenworth being driven by 53 year old, Manuel Barraza of Goodwell Oklahoma, was southbound on US 83, when he took the curve too fast and rolled the semi on its side. Barraza, who was wearing his seatbelt, was transported to Southwest Medical Center to be treated for his injuries. Local law enforcement agencies and several crews and volunteers helped secure the pigs in a confined area until such time they could be loaded into another vehicle.
