Teen Killed In Rollover Accident Identified

A Kansas teenager has died following an accident in Kearny County. The accident was reported just before 7 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of County Road 210 and County Road N a few miles northwest of Lakin.

Kearny County Sheriff’s investigators say Maggie Melynn Olson, 17, was driving east on CR 210 when she passed through the intersection with CR N and went off the road into a plowed field. The vehicle’s tires dug into the soft ground and caused the vehicle to roll.

Olson was thrown from the vehicle. She was taken to a nearby hospital by private vehicle and later flown to a Wichita hospital where she died.

Olson was the only person in the vehicle. The accident is under investigation.
