Turpin Reaches Baseball Goal

The Turpin baseball team has achieved one of their goals. Turpin head coach Mario Mendoza wanted to see his young team make it to regionals and win the district. The 12-6 Cardinals beat Hooker 7-1 and 12-5 to advance. Turpin plays Timberlake Thursday at 3:30 in Hydro. Lefty Justin McIntire is today’s starting pitcher. Andres Grageda leads the Cards offensively with an average of .618 with three homers. Kyle Knoblauch hits .469 while Clint Toney hits .459. Coach Mario Mendoza was a guest on the Sportsguys Thursday morning.
