Tornado Touches Down Near Plymell

There are reports a dairy farm on the south side of Garden City may have sustained storm damage yesterday evening. Finney County dispatchers also confirm that there is an ammonia leak on a property near the dairy farm along Plymell Rd. south of Garden City.

The elementary school in Plymell will be closed Thursday due to power lines down in the area. The school has no electricity and school officials don’t know when the electricity will be restored.

At 10:00 p.m., a section of US-83 between Garden City and Sublette was closed due to downed power poles.
