Man Killed While Lying In Roadway

A Phoenix, Ariz., man was killed Saturday evening after he was run over by a car in Dodge City.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 53-year-old Christian Aleman, of Phoenix, was lying in the roadway at 2500 E. Wyatt Earp Road in the westbound lanes of traffic.

Around 8 p.m., he was run over by two vehicles — one driven by 21-year-old Candie Wordelman-Stills, of Dodge City, and another that left the scene. Dodge City Police are still looking for the second vehicle — a pickup of unknown make or model.

Aleman was taken to Western Plains Regional Hospital in Dodge City, where he was pronounced dead. His wife, Sandra, was notified at around 3 a.m. Sunday.
