Health, Job, and Education Fair Becoming Even More Affordable

KSCB News - October 19, 2011 6:11 am

The price keeps falling for this years’s Health, Job, and Education Fair. Admission is free to the event which runs from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Seward County Activity Center. You can receive 800 dollars worth of testing for only 25 dollars. Cancer screenings are only five dollars more. Flue shots are available for 25 dollars. Diabetes testing will also be available. Anyone planning on participating in the medical tests should fast at least eight hours prior to coming to have blood work done.

Organizers for Saturday’s Veteran’s Dinner ask for only a good will offering. There will be 73 vendors and six local physicians at the event. Zoomba Fitness will perform at 9 a.m. and Rine’s Freestyle Karate performs at 10:30 a.m. A veteran’s bus from Wichita will attend the event. There will be a 5k Walk/Run with registration at 7:30 and the race starting at 8 a.m. at the Seward County Activity Center. Last year 700 people took advantage of the testing at the Health, Job, and Education Fair.
