Local historian Lidia Hook-Gray will spin yarns and tell tales of Liberal’s ghostly history at the Seward County Community College/Area Technical School Library at 12 noon, Wednesday, Oct. 26 as part of the Lunch in the Library series.

Just in time for Halloween, Hook-Gray will discuss the history of Liberal and its surrounding areas and the supernatural history. Haunted houses, wandering spirits and unexplained phenomena will be among the topics she will discuss.

Brown bag your lunch and the Library will supply snacks and refreshments. The library will also have several giveaways for those who attend.

Hook-Gray is the author of Liberal and SewardCounty , which came out this past August. The book tells the stories of early Liberal, Beer City , Arkalon, Fargo Springs, Springfield , and other towns that make SewardCounty what it is today.
