A $1 million bond has been set for a Dodge City man charged with attempted first degree murder, Dodge City police said Tuesday.

Victor Pantoja-Medrano, 23, of Dodge City was arrested after police responded to a 3:24 a.m. domestic disturbance call Monday, at a home in the area of the 2700 block of Avenue A.

Investigators say they found a woman injured. "Pantoja-Medrano was taken into custody and has been charged with attempted first degree murder, aggravated burglary, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated endangering of a child, criminal threat, felony obstruction, and criminal damage," Lt. Colleen N. Brooks-Francis, of the Dodge City Police Department told KAKE News. "The investigation is continuing so I cannot go into the specifics of the events that led to the charges at this time," Brooks-Francis said
