Liberal Fire Department “Fill The Boot”

Liberal Fire Department Captain Troy Emery reported the results of the departments efforts to raise money for MDA over the Labor Day weekend. Firefighters conducted a “Fill-the –Boot” campaign at Wal-Mart from Friday 2 ^nd to Sunday 4 ^th . The community donated $2,311.71 which was sent to the Muscular Dystrophy Association for the Jerry Lewis Telethon on Labor Day. Through MDA the funds raised in Liberal and Seward County are ear-marked and used to benefit those dealing with Muscular Dystrophy in this area. The Liberal Fire Department would like to thank all the individuals who took the opportunity to help us “Fill-the-Boot” on Labor Day weekend.
