On Thursday, July 28, 2011, at about 8:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to an open field near Mosaic, 441 Industrial, for a report of a dead body. Investigating officers learned that a 60 year old female had left work at National Beef, 1500 E. Eighth, and never returned home. She was discovered in the field by family members.

There was no apparent cause of death. An autopsy has been scheduled for Friday, July 29, 2011.
