The Allied Health Division at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School will offer a Health Careers Camp for students entering high school in grades 9-12, June 6-8.
The camp will explore health careers in Medical Laboratory Technician, Surgical Technology, Respiratory Therapy, medical Assistant and Nursing. Students will earn a CPR certification; discuss educational requirements, skills and job duties; participate in interactive hands-on activities that highlight skills, equipment, technologies and resources; and develop an awareness of hospital and long-term care settings.
Camp fee is $30. A letter of recommendation is required form a school counselor, teacher or principal. Deadline is May 20.
