On Tuesday, March 29, 2011 around 1:30 a.m., officers of the Garden City Police Department were dispatched to St. Catherine Hospital in regards to a stabbing victim. The preliminary investigation determined two Garden City males, ages 25 and 31 were together at a residence in the 1900 block of Sloan St. when during an altercation with each other, both men were stabbed.
The 31-year-old male received a minor wound and transported himself to the hospital where he was treated and released. Officers responded to the area of the incident and found the 25-year-old dead in the yard of 1838 Koster St. The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
The victim in this case has been identified as 25-year-old Jeffrey Nichols of Garden City
