Leprechaun Challenge Sees Record Number Of Participants

The Liberal Parks and Recreation Department in conjuction with the SWFTR running group hosted their annual Leprechaun Challenge Fun Run/Walk. 47 contestants participated in this fundraising event which benefited the Parks and Rec. Scholarship fund. Donned in their finest green, runners and walkers gathered at the Willow Tree Golf course and for a start time of 2:00pm. Prizes were awarded in a wide variety of categories and age divisions including those wearing the most green. According to Gary Scott, Parks and Rec. Supervisor, participation was up and the funds raised will go a long way to benefit the youth of the community.
