The Liberal American Legion Post #80 will host National Vice Commander, Russell Henry of Sulphur, Louisiana, on his three day tour of Kansas with an evening meal on Monday, March 14 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Salty Dog meeting room. He will also be in Meade on Monday for a reception at 3 p.m. He’ll be available in Sublette Tuesday for a 7:30 a.m. breakfast.

During his tour, National Vice Commander Henry will visit 17 American Legion posts while in the state.

A Korean War Air Force Veteran, Russell James Henry has been a member of Post #179 in Sulphur. Louisiana for 33 years. He served as post and department commander and has held national positions on the Foreign Relations Commission and Merchant Marine committee. Most recently, he was the Vice Chairman of the Public Relations Commission. Henry retired from AT@T after nearly 40o years of employment there.
