Huelskamp Will Serve On Agriculture Committee

Congressman-elect Tim Huelskamp will serve on the Agriculture Committee in the U.S. House when he takes office in January.

The Republican from Fowler announced Thursday his appointment also to the House ??s Budget and Veterans ?? Affairs committees.

??The Agriculture Committee provides oversight on key federal programs which affect farmers and ranchers in Kansas, ? Huelskamp said in a press release. ??This is an important opportunity to serve Kansas farmers in Washington instead of the other way around, ? he said.

Huelskamp will follow U.S. Rep. Jerry Moran as the 1 st District ??s representative. Moran has been serving on the Agriculture and Veterans ?? Affairs committees.
