Liberal City Commission Meets

The Liberal City Commission met Tuesday night for their regularly scheduled meeting. The meeting took place at 6:30pm in the City Commission Chambers. Among the items on the agenda, the Commission approved several environmental and vehicle abatements throughout the mobile home parks in the City of Liberal. Also approved was the crack sealing bid. This went to B&H Pavingof Scott City in the amount of 89 cents per pound,not to exceed $150,000.00. The Commission also approved Arkalon Campground improvements in the amount of $9,670.00. The improvements will add 5 concrete campsite pads. Abbott Construction ofLiberal was the low bidder. City offices will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. The next regular meeting of the Liberal City Commission will be December 14,2010.
