Kansas farmers are wrapping up this
season’s harvest of row crops.
Kansas Agricultural Statistics Service reported Monday that just
2 percent of the sorghum and 6 percent of the sunflowers remain in
the fields.
The agency said that 92 percent of the winter wheat crop has now
emerged.
The crop’s condition is rated as 4 percent excellent, 32 percent
good and 38 percent fair. The agency said 26 percent was in poor to
very poor condition.
