Trailmobile Debt To Be Retired

In a special meeting last night, the Liberal City Commission passed a resolution to once and for all put the entire Trailmobile debt to rest. Commissioners in a 5-0 vote passed Resolution 2048 the Redemption of the General Obligation Bonds as of June 1st 2009. This pays off the City’s entire obligation to the Trailmobile debt. The amount of the payoff is $6,483,411.25. In other action City commissioners also voted to repeal the 4/10% sales tax which was voted on in 2006 to be set aside for the Trailmobile debt. The 4/10% will sunset on July 1st.
