LHS Volleyball Season Derailed Against Newton

Liberal ran up against a long and talented Newton Railroader team and finished short of their state tournament goal. Saturday in Great Bend in sub state, LHS beat Hays (25-22, 25-21) but lost to Newton (15-25, 11-25). Liberal finishes 26-13. Katie Burnett had 12 kills against Hays and Jai Chapman had two service aces against Hays.

In the Newton match, Newton’s jump serves gave Liberal problems.
