The 2010 Measurement and Pipeline Institute is scheduled for Sept. 14-15 at
the Seward County Event Center in Liberal, Kansas.
For 58 years, the combined institute for measurement and pipeline has proven
ideal for field operators, technicians, maintenance crews, production
supervisors and superintendents. The institute features a variety of
lectures, discussions, demonstrations, hands-on sessions and industry
exhibits to inform participants about the maintenance and operation of
measurement and pipeline equipment. Exhibitors will also display products
that are on the cutting edge of technology for the measurement and pipeline
industry.
Under the guidance of the Petroleum Industry Education Committee and with
management support provided by Seward County Community College/Area
Technical School in Liberal, Kansas, the Measurement & Pipeline Institute
has steadily grown in size and stature, and has gained a national reputation
for excellence.
The 2010 keynote speaker is Charles Wait of Southern Union Gas Company. He
has been with various forms of Southern Union Company for over 20 years,
spending the last 15 years as an air compliance engineer. He was recently
named director of Climate Change. He is active in the Compressor and Pump
Station Technical Committee of Pipeline Research Council International and
formerly served as Chair of two Interstate Natural Gas Association of
America work groups; the NSPS/MACT and the NOx SIP Call Work Groups.
