4th PBA Southwest Open Coming to Billy’s Ayr Lanes

Billy’s Ayr Lanes will host a PBA event for the fourth consecutive year. The PBA’s Southwest Open is coming to Liberal again. Event organizer Kelly Hill expects this to be the biggest year yet with 65-80 professional bowlers. There is a 10-thousand dollar pot with the winner receiving four thousand dollars.
The Southwest Open Pro-Am is Friday with practice 2-4, the pro-am sweeper at 4, and the pro-am at 6:30. The entry fee is 25 dollars for the the amateur to bowl with the pros. It will be 9 pin, no tap (9 pins counts as a strike). Amateurs will rotate and bowl with six different pros.
The event begins Saturday morning and Sunday morning at 8 am and runs throughout both days. The winners of the Southwest Open have been Nathan Bohr, Anthony Simonsen, and Shawn Maldonado.
