4th of July Celebration Set for Tuesday

The Liberal 4th of July Committee will host the Annual 4th of July Celebration on Tuesday, July 4th. The festivities will begin with a Downtown Parade that will begin with a line-up at 8:300 am at Trail Street and Kansas Avenue. The Parade will move north on Kansas Avenue at 9:30 am to Light Park.

At 11:00 am, the festivities will begin in Light Park. There will be Food Trucks, Live Music featuring a DJ  There will also be a Little Miss Firecracker competition, and booths throughout the Park.  The Festivities will run until 2:00 pm. Adventure Bay Family Water Park will be free throughout the day courtesy of National Beef Packing Company.

After the events at Light Park conclude, Fellowship Baptist Church will already be set up at Brent Gould Field for a free family picnic. The Liberal Bee Jays will play the Dodge City A’s at 7:00 pm at Brent Gould Field sponsored by Community Bank, Seward County, and the City of Liberal. A free public display of fireworks will take place immediately following the game at Seward County Community College.
