2 Fireworks Related Fires in Seward County

At 12:37 am on July 5th Seward County Fire Department was dispatched to Road 3 west of Road B for a reported structure fire. Units arrived on scene to find a outbuilding fully involved. The department responded with 1 chief officer, 1 engine, 2 water tenders, and 5 firefighters. Damage loss was estimated to be $6,000. Cause of fire was fireworks related.

At 12:41pm on July 5th Seward County Fire Department was dispatched to 4000 block of Road O for a vegetation fire, units arrived on scene to a vegetation fire. The Department responded with 1 chief officer, 1 engine. 1 attack,1 water tender, and 3 firefighters. The fire was caused by improper use of fire works.

No injuries were reported and the Fire Department was assisted by Sheriff’s Office and EMS.
